But as we learned in James 4:13-17 about boasting about tomorrow, it is sin if God is not in the equation. It is not sin to have a plan for the future, either our career or a financial plan or a retirement plan. Whatever we have, we should be content with. It is a tool to provide for ourselves and our families. The right view is that money is only a tool.
